The UPD MHPSS Network
The University of the Philippines Diliman (UPD) Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) Network is a network of persons, units, and organizations within UP Diliman committed to providing mental health and psychosocial support services to the UPD community of students, teachers, and employees. Currently, our network consists of the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs (OVCSA), the UPD Psychosocial Services (UPD PsycServ), the UPD Office of Counseling and Guidance (UPD OCG), the UP Health Service (UHS), the UPD Office of Advancement of Teaching (UPD OAT), the University Student Council (USC), the UP Diliman Gender Office (UP DGO), the UPD Ugnayan ng Pahinungod, the UP Office of Anti-Sexual Harassment (OASH), and the UP Integrated School (UPIS).
Our History
The seeds of what would eventually be the UPD MHPSS Network began with conversations between
PsycServ and UHS about the need for the university to have a clear MHPSS protocol and for its
service units to commit to formally establishing cooperative and collaborative ties.
Fast forward to 2022, the UPD MHPSS Network was officially established to function as a
coordinating body that would facilitate among autonomous UPD units synergistic services,
collaborative knowledge-building work, and sharing of resources and information.
The first standing committee consisted of the UPD OVCSA, UPD PsycServ, UPD OCG, UPD UHS, UPD OAT,
UPD USC, UPDGO, UPD Pahinungod, and UPIS. The current members of the UPD MHPSS Network are:
